Der BFP ist ein wachsender Gemeindebund aus mehr als 1.000 Gemeinden in Deutschland mit über 70.000 Gemeindemitgliedern und über 200.000 Zugehörigen. Er besteht seit mehr als 70 Jahren. Als evangelisch-pfingstliche Freikirche in Deutschland ist der BFP Teil der weltweiten Pfingstbewegung, der größten protestantischen Kirche mit globaler Einbindung.
